Born in 1985, Lovemore is part of the hugely talented Bonjisi family of stone sculptors. Being the youngest son he trained with his late brother Lameck, who at the time was one of the most successful artists. His work is dynamic and fluid, coupled and sharp angels and smooth long necks with lifelike faces.Lovemore favors the use of Springstone for his works,one of the hardest naturally occurring stones in Zimbabwe which when polished develops a wonderfully intense shinny black. Cecilia Winter-Irving, respected shona art collector, crtic and ex-curator of Tha National Art Gallery of Zimabawe has described Lovemore as the Shona Michaelangelo. He has been exhibiting for many years in several galleries internationally including Uk, Australia and Spain.
